The Zweiblütige crocus (Crocus biflorus), crocus or Scottish is a species of the genus Crocus (Crocus).

Features
The Zweiblütige crocus is a perennial tuber geophytes, the plant height 50-10 cm reached. The tuber skin is smooth, membranous or leathery and points to the base Querringe. The 3-5 (rarely to 9) leaves are 2-3 millimeters wide. There are two bracts and 2 (rarely 1-4) flowers available. The measure Perigonzipfel 18-30 (rarely to 35) × 6-12 (rarely of 4) mm and are white to purple. The outer tepals have on the outside often 3-5 purple veins.

The flowering period extends from February to March, rarely up from October to November.

Occurrence
The crocus Zweiblütige arrives in Italy, in Sicily, the Balkans, the Crimea, Turkey, in the Eastern Caucasus, Transcaucasia, in the Northwest and northern Iraq-Iran. The species grows on open rocky slopes and in alpine grass.
